Dinger Tor

Dinger Tor is quite scenic. It is situated above the upper reaches of  the West Okement valley and is quite easy to get to via a military road (the Dinger track). Dinger Tor is quite small but its clitter litters the southern slopes down towards the Okement. The view from Dinger over the impressive mound of Lints Tor way below are excellent.
Park between West Mill Tor and Rowtor at SX 591913 which is approached from the Okehampton military camp (turn immediately right once you've crossed the bridge at SX 591931). Walk the Dinger track southwards and when it forks take the left path that leads towards Dinger Tor. After admiring the views head northwest over the clitter towards Fordsland Ledge. From here it is easy to make for High Willhays, Yes Tor and West mill Tor. There are easy tracks all the way.
This is a fairly easy walk since half of the walk is on a military road. However, the weather can be quite unpredictable. It is in the middle of the military area. Allow 2 - 3 hours.
